Le Rozier,

Une commune française située dans le département de la Lozère en région Occitanie. En occitan, appelé « LOU ROUSIO ».

Les Rozériens ou Roziens (130 habitants, 400 m d’altitude), n’ont cœur qu’à embellir vos vacances. Ils ont bien un fort atout, leur village est admirablement bien situé dans les Gorges du Tarn et Gorges de la Jonte ainsi que la vue sur le village pittoresque de Peyreleau. Surplombé par le rocher de Capluc (625 m), son hameau et une ancienne chapelle romane dominant le village. Point de départ de nombreuses randonnées.

En 1075, des moines bâtissent une jolie petite église « Saint Sauveur ». Leur passion, la culture des roses d’où le nom « Camprun ac dictum rosarium ». Maintenant vous comprenez l’origine du nom « Le Rozier ».
